This is a sad song (sorry!) but hopefully one with a good message! When I wrote this song, I was not in a good place. This is a song about being stuck in sadness, though I'm happy to say I did eventually pull myself out of it. To be "Too Far Gone" is to live in a moment of grief. It's hard to remember when you're in the middle of it, that it is just a moment. It can feel like the whole world is crashing down around you and that you're just melting away. This song is about that moment. All things pass. I want everyone to remember that you are strong enough to bring yourself back to center, because the truth is, we're never too far gone, it just sometimes feels that way.

I think it's really important to let ourselves feel low from time to time. When we are humbled by the down times, we are able to identify the high times with more grace and appreciation.
